Special Edition – The G7th Celtic Capo
Available exclusively from our Online Store!
Celtic music goes back many centuries and is traditionally played on harps, flutes, fiddles, whistles and pipes. It is only relatively recently that this beautiful, evocative music has been played on the guitar. To celebrate the music and the work of those who have worked so hard to deliver it, G7th asked acclaimed Celtic artist, Patrick Gallagher, to design a motif for our Celtic performance capo. Pat's design is woven around the theme of the bass and treble clefs which are themselves rooted in the ancient European Celtic design traditions.
The spiral designs symbolise the ever expanding universe and the search for the soul.
The Celtic knotwork symbolises the “all connectedness” of the universe.
The artist: Patrick Gallagher works out of his studio in New Jersey and has been commissioned to work on projects as diverseas jewellery, Celtic Crosses, liturgical vestments and architectural designs for residential and commercial projects like O'Lunney's Irish Pub in Times Square, New York. He also travels the world (including Ireland!) lecturing on Celtic art.
